Xbox (original) - mod chip BIOS Flash Failure Repair ($49)

If you have a mod chip installed in your xbox (original) which has suffered from a failed BIOS flash update then this service offers to repair your xbox for $49 (TSOP BIOS repairs are performed under our general repair fee).

Note that all xbox motherboards fitted to xboxes having a manufacture date prior to mid-March 2004 are fitted with a BIOS flash chip in a TSOP package.   When a BIOS flash update is done, it may be either a mod chip or the TSOP chip itself that is being flashed. 

An xbox (original) will boot three times then flash red and green (FRAG) in the following circumstances:

1. a chip has suffered form a bad flash,

2. an xbox is being booted via a mod chip flashed with an incorrect BIOS,

3. the motherboard is damaged such that the BIOS is unable to correctly load.
